Dr Claudia Rossignoli has been awarded a Senior Research Fellowship by the PIASt (Polish Institute of Advance Studies, Warsaw) to work on a project entitled The Languages of Faith: Doctrine, Translation and Multilingualism in the Italian Renaissance. The project focuses on the Spanish religious writer and reformer Juan de Valdés (c.1490-1541), on his own original approach to translation and multilingualism, on the uniquely transnational dimension of his texts and on their characteristically transcultural transmission.
Between October 2019 and August 2020, CR will be working mainly in Warsaw, collaborating with the PAN (Polish Academy of Sciences) and the colleagues in the Migrations and Knowledge in Early Modern Europe research network, whilst also travelling to libraries and archives in Italy.
We wish Claudia good luck and best wishes on this journey!
