Congratulations to Professor Tim Greenwood who has been elected a Fellow of the British Academy! The status of FBA recognises scholars who have achieved real distinction in their field.
Professor Greenwood is a leading expert on the history and culture of Armenia in the early Middle Ages with interests across Byzantium and the Near East. His most recent book is The Universal History of Step‘anos Tarōnec‘i (OUP 2017). He has also authored many seminal research articles.
He has been an active and popular member of SAIMS since its foundation in 2007 and is presently the Director of the Institute of Iranian Studies.
