The St Andrews Centre for French History and Culture is hosting a lecture of interest to medievalists this Wednesday, 20 October, at 4pm via Teams: https://bit.ly/30skjiq.
Jay Rubenstein of University of Southern California will be speaking on ‘Alexander the Minorite’s Commentary on the Apocalypse: Reassessing the First Crusade 150 Years Later’
Jay is currently Chair of the History department and director the Center for the Premodern World at USC. A recipient of the MacArthur ‘genius grant’ Fellowship, his work on the First Crusade and the Central Middle Ages is widely read and acclaimed. Please do come if you can.
